We commonly receive inverters with shipping damage in the form of dents,
scratches and bent mounting flanges due to insufficient packaging. We strongly
urge our customers to follow these guidelines for shipping their inverters to
reduce the possibility of shipping damage.
1. Ship your inverter in the original packaging (box and stabilizing foams). If
the original packaging is not available, we strongly suggest the use of a new,
double walled cardboard box.
2. Use bubble wrap or dense foam to secure your inverter in the box. Peanuts and
other unconsolidated packaging materials tend to settle during shipping. This
creates an empty space in the box, allowing the inverter to shift from its
position. Also be sure that your inverter has packaging material on all six
sides.
3. Insure your package for your purchase amount. We suggest you send your
package via UPS and insure it for an amount similar to that which you paid for
your inverter. If your shipper loses or damages your package, the insured amount
of your package will cover your repair/replacement expenses.
4. Include your contact information with your inverter. Please include your
return shipping address, phone number, email, and a brief description of your
inverter's symptoms before it malfunctioned (especially any fault codes). If you
suspect that your repair could be covered under the manufacturer's warranty,
you will need to include a copy of your proof of purchase.
5. Ship your inverter to:
